Acupuncture is the placement of disposable, hair-thin needles
into specific points along energy channels on the body. Qi flows
within these meridians or pathways. Stimulating qi flow balances
a person to relieve symptoms and eliminate an illness.

Electrical Acupuncture is the
attachment of an electrical current to certain points of the body
to generate a slight pulsation through the needle into the muscle
and meridian pathway. This eases tense muscles and moves qi and
blood in a contained area or within a meridian to reduce pain. Electrical
acupuncture is also used in facelifts to expand the collagen in
your face, reduce wrinkles and lift the skin.

Chinese Herbal Medicine combines a variety of herbs
to create a unique formula for each patient. A customized herbal
prescription is administered based on the individual’s symptoms
and constitution. Chinese herbal medicine’s goal is to treat
the source of a problem and eradicate it.

Nutritional Counseling
is used to support our treatments so that you will receive the most
benefit from them. Chinese nutrition offers a different perspective
from Western theories with regard to a person’s constitution
and certain foods’ medicinal benefits. We use a combination
of Western and Chinese theories to guarantee optimal results for
each of our clients.

Massage offers many
medicinal advantages. It relaxes muscles, reduces pain and stress,
increases circulation, stimulates the lymphatic system (your immunity)
and also makes your body more receptive to acupuncture. Some massage
techniques we offer include deep tissue, Swedish, acupressure, sports,
reflexology, shiatsu and tui na.

Cupping is the placement of glass or plastic cups
on the skin to create a suction, which then helps to free toxins
and move qi and blood. Cupping is an excellent way to treat muscle
tightness, arthritis or pain, fevers, colds and flu, asthma, and
lung weakness.

Moxibustion is burning of the herb ai ye (mugwort)
on needles or over specific points of the body. This process facilitates
qi and blood movement and warms channels and the body. Moxibustion
is highly beneficial for those with fatigue, digestive disorders,
and injuries. The Chinese people use moxa daily to stay healthy,
active and ensure longevity

Qi Gong & Reiki both use the power of qi through
hands-on healing techniques. A practitioner of Qi Gong or Reiki
is able to tap into the source of a healing, universal energy to
receive the maximum benefit from other treatments. We can also teach
you a collection of simple Qi Gong exercises to enhance your health,
vitality and longevity.

your muscles. The oils are used either in combination with massage
and acupressure, or can be customized into your own personalized
‘perfume.’ This way you can receive the healing effects
from your treatment throughout the day.

Pilates and Acupuncture - A Synergistic Relationship.
The essence of Joseph Pilates’ approach, which he called "controllogy,"
combines the best of Eastern and Western traditions. The Eastern
approach focuses on exercises to calm and center the body, with
an emphasis on stretching, while the Western approach concentrates
on motion, muscle tone and strength. The result is restoration of
musculoskeletal balance, longer and leaner muscles, coordination,
ease of movement, and ultimately, a sound mind through reduction
of tension and stress.
Just as the Pilates method integrates mind and
body via renewal of the natural strength and suppleness of the muscles,
acupuncture rejuvenates the healthy, vibrant flow of qi through
all organ systems, tissues and meridians of the body. By either
tonifying qi or dissolving blockages in its flow, the body is stimulated
to heal itself and return to a state of optimal health and vitality.
In combination, Pilates and acupuncture can help
a patient tap into an unimaginable inner strength and improve performance
in all aspects of life through proper alignment of the mind, body
and spirit. The flow of qi ties them all together.
